Redcar Christmas Lights Switch On and Illumination Parade

This year it's a pantomime-themed Lights Switch On and Illumination Parade.... oh yes it is!
Expect stunning visual displays, music, lights and all-around joy! There will be performers and entertainers in the High Street from midday, a live music stage, a chance to meet Santa and Friends in his grotto, a festive street food market, and a colourful collection of walkabout performers including illuminated stilt walkers.
The Illumination Parade will leave the Civic Centre at 4:15pm and head through the town. Look out for Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent, Peter Pan and Tinker Bell as well as over 200 participants from schools and community groups who will throng the streets with artwork, lanterns and costumes created with artists to light up the route before the light switch on at 5:45pm. This event is BSL interpreted.
