Back again for 2024 - a unique opportunity to climb the 164 steps to the top of Grey’s Monument. From here you can enjoy unrivalled views over Grainger Town’s magnificently preserved Georgian architecture. You need to be relatively fit and there are some enclosed spaces.

Tours last approx 30 minutes. There a various times slots throughout the day, but they fill up very quickly so book early!

The last opening of 2024 will be Saturday 7th September. Book early - this sells out quickly.

Greys Monument, Newcastle

The Monument is named after the 2nd Earl Grey, Charles Grey, who came from the North East and was British Prime Minister in the 1830s - the famous Earl Grey tea blend was named after him too!
