Chester le EATS
Sunday 06 October, 11:00
Chester-le-EATS is back for 2024 featuring a jam-packed line-up of the region’s best street food traders and producers, live music, and plenty of fun for all the family.
The Family Zone will include fairground rides, dancers, stilt walkers, face painting and a visit from Durham Cricket mascots Chester and River. It'll also feature sports fun for families and a soft play area.
Chester-le-Street café, REfUSE, which promotes sustainable practices and offers its customers a ‘pay as you feel’ policy, will also be at the event with its Smoothie Bikes, where kids can make smoothies for free by pedaling a bike which powers up the blenders.
Visitors can tuck into all different types of food including Sri Lankan dishes, duck wraps, slow-pulled meats, buttermilk fried chicken, loaded fries, banging burgers, and Greek food by our friends at Acropolis. Vegans and vegetarians will be well catered for, as will those with a sweet tooth.
Chester-le-EATS will run from 11am to 6pm on both Saturday, 5th and Sunday 6th of October. Entry to the event, which is also dog-friendly, is FREE and via Gate 1 of the Riverside. For a full list of food stands and timings of the music acts, check out the links in Frisk List.
